METALQUIMIA, together with ICNITA, have created IDFOOD AUTOMATION, fruit of the strategic alliance between the two organizations with the objective of impacting a previously unknown niche of the market and providing answeres to the growing demand for solutions in the global meat and food sector, based on RFID electronic identification. The new company will be presented, at the same time its solutions will be displayed, within the framework of the international fair "BTA Barcelona Food Technology" to be held in Barcelona from May 11 to 15, 2009.
The two companies have joined forces to create a new agile and dynamic business plataform that will introduce innovative applications in the sector aimed at providing efficiency, increased productivity, processing control, optimization of traceability, improved rotation of assets, reduced energy and operating costs, as well as solutions aimed at increasing safety of the product, the trademark and operating personnel".
IDFOOD has the integral support of METALQUIMIA, the Girona-based company present in the most important meat-processing centers in more than 70 countries and recognized worldwide for the excellence of its equipment, its state-of-the-art technology applied to the meat sector, as well as its advanced system of systematic management of creativity and innovation ... and the technology and experience of ICNITA, also a Girona-based company, that has exponentially managed to introduce into various sectors its identification solutions with the speciality of RFID (Radio Frequency Identification).
IDFOOD is born as a plataform for progress and profit that makes our experience available to the entire meat, fish and food sector, and most especially a team of professionals that has been working closely on this project. The structure of IDFOOD is designed to use RFID technology to develop new solutions that respond to the demands of the sector. In addition to the experiences and installations completed so far by ICNITA, the transversality of its technology has allowed IDFOOD to offer from the very start a package of its own solutions, including in-plant processes and logistics that are universal (multi-customer) for said sectors in general that will, without doubt, help to strengthen their competitive edge.
